Obituary of Jesus Borunda

Our beloved Jesus M. Borunda, age 88, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcos Borunda and Maria Martinez Borunda.

Jesus is survived by his children, Jesus Borunda (Christine), Sandra Adams (Randy), Jackie Borunda (Carlos Quintana), Talpa Quijas (Ismael), Guille Borunda, Marilyn Borunda, and Maricela Borunda (Joel Arroyo); 13 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren; his siblings Jose Borunda, Lourdes Cebreros, and Gala Monreal; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends. 

Serving as Pallbearers are Jesus Borunda, Jr., Jesus Borunda III, Michael Rey, Carlos Quintana, Joel Arroyo, Henry Flores, Randy Adams, Ryan Adams, and Jonathan A. Quijas. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary Prayer at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745. Services will be live-streamed to allow those unable to attend to participate.  Follow link to Facebook Live Mission - South Side

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave, Austin, Texas 78704.
