Obituary of Johnny Gonzales
Johnny Gonzales "Bulle" aka the Mayor of Montopolis, passed away on Thurs, December 7th, 2023 at the age of 74. Bulle died peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife of 57 years Irene, his Son John, Grandsons, Sisters, and many close friends.
His laughing, joyful, funny, crazy, spirit will be felt for many years to come, everyone who knew Bulle, loved being around him, especially during a Dallas Cowboys or Texas Longhorn football game.
In his younger years Bull could be found in East Austin pitching for his team, The Bullets and later went on to play with The Jokers, his batting was not as good as his underhand pitch.
Bulles' love for life and for people, especially his wife, kids, grandkids, family and friends, showed up in the way he made you feel from the moment he met you, and of course he always had some smart aleck remarks to follow.
His infectious, joyful laugh will truly be missed mostly when hanging out in the backyard of his house in Montopolis, where he could always be found having a beer with his wife, burning the barbeque and playing washers with his son, grandson and friends.
On a more serious note to Johnny, he laid carpet for many years, with his brother Mosconi and his son, John, before he retired as delivery-driver for many years with Meals on Wheels.
