Our Beloved Julia Benavides, 56 years of age, Entered Eternal Rest on Sunday, November 26th, 2023 reunited with Her Father; Jesse Benavides, Sr., Granddaughter; Nydia Garza and Brother; Basilio Benavides.

Julia Benavides was born and raised in the Eastside. She had a strong connection to her community. She was proud of Her roots. Like Julie would say, "All My Life, 02". Julie brought a lot of positivity into Her family's lives. She was a fun, humorous and joyful person. Her ability to bring laughter and be the life of the party has created lasting memories.

Julie was surrounded by family, and she found so much joy in the role as a Grandmother. She was always joking and laughing with Her Grandchildren. Julie oftern referred to herself as "Sexy Grandma". She shared many moments of heartwarming connections that have created cherished memories for both Her and Her Grandchildren.

Julie worked with Her Sisters at Old Spanish Trail Restaurant and 301 Deli Shop, she was also employed at a Cleaning Service company. In 2015 and 2019, She attended the Woman's ACTS Retreat and Joined the Alter and Rosary Society Ministry, which impacted Her life tremendously. Shortly after attending the Retreat, She became a Volunteer at Cristo Rey Catholic Church for the ACTS Ministry which allowed Her to become involved in various aspects of Her Community and Church.

Julia is survived by Her Husband; Pete Mendieta, Children; Angelica Benavides, Melissa Elias(Daniel Garza), and Michael Elias, Mother; Olivia G. Benavides, 3 Sisters; Teresa Benavides (John Gomez), Kathy Benavides(Benito Nuncio), and Amy Benavides, 2 Brothers; Danny Benavides(Petra), and Jesse Benavides, Jr.(Lisa), Grandchildren; Luis N. Garcia, Noah A. Garza, Anastasia J. Camacho, Jessica N. Garza, and Austin I. Ramirez, and a Host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Visitation Service will be held on Thursday, December 7th, 2023 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00p.m. with the Acts Rosary Group from Cristo Rey Catholic Church at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin Texas 78702.

Funeral Liturgy Services will be held on Friday, December 8th, 2023 at 11:00a.m. at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin Texas 78702.

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin Texas 78704.

Serving as Pallbearers; Luis Garcia, Noah Garza, Joseph Nuncio, Jr., Donald Benavides, David Nuncio, and Johnny J. Benavides Zarate. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Austin Ramirez, Jesus Reyes, III, and Adrian Aladrin.

Recitation of Holy Rosary Services and Funeral Liturgy will be live-streamed to allow those unable to attend to participate. Follow link to Facebook Live Mission - East Side
