Obituary of Thomas Joseph Hernandez

Our beloved Thomas Joseph Hernandez “TJ”, age 45, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Abelardo and Consuela Moncada and Juan and Manuela Hernandez.

TJ is survived by his parents, Luis and Connie Hernandez; his long time friend/caretaker, Melissa Orosco; his godsons, Jacob and Christopher Pecina; his brother, Miguel Hernandez (Melia) and sister, Erica Guerrero (Ernest); his nieces and nephews, Jayden Valdez, Ileeahna Hernandez, Eli Hernandez, Alyssa Guerrero, Ashley Guerrero, Ernest Guerrero, Jr., and Juan Guerrero; his great niece, Isabella Vivas-Guerrero as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Juan Guerrero, Ernest Guerrero, Jr., Jacob Pecina, Jason “JJ” Castro,Jr., Jordan Castro, and David Martinez,  Honorary Pallbearers will be Luis Hernandez and Miguel Hernandez.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park Cemetery, Chapel Rd., Austin, Texas.
