Obituary of Carlos Alvarez

Our beloved Carlos G. Alvarez, age 71, resident of Austin Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Alvarez and Bacillia Gutierrez Alvarez; his siblings, Nora Alvarez, Phillip Alvarez, Hortence Hernandez, son Bryant Alvarez and grandson William Gabriel Nanry III.

Carlos is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Marta "Sally" Molina; his siblings, Mary Alvarez, Ernest Alvarez Jr. and wife Nancy, Cordelia Hernandez and husband Rudy, Alfred Alvarez, and Consuelo Alvarez; his children, Joshua Bitela, Patrick Alvarez, Sarah Alvarez, Derrick Alvarez, Stacy Alvarez, Tracy Alvarez, Bryant Alvarez, Jonathan Alvarez, and Jacob Lara; numerous grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many other loving family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S. 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave., Austin, Texas 78704.  Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas. 

Pallbearers: Joshua Bitela, Patrick Alvarez, Bryant Alvarez, Jonathan Alvarez, Jacob Lara and Adrian Nanry.
