Obituary of Joe T. Guerra

Our beloved Joe Guerra, age 70, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Isabel Guerra, and his sister, Frances Rodriguez.

Joe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Yolanda Guerra; his children, Joe Guerra, Jr. (Monica), Raymond Guerra (Jennifer), Dorothy Terrazas (Terry), Melanie Guerra (Matthew Avila), and Janie Guerra; his siblings, Tomas Guerra, Jr., Isabel Rodriguez (Benny) and Virgie DeLeon (Leon), Yolanda Guerra, Stephanie Guerra, Roman Guerra, Candy Guerra, Carmen Guzman, Nora Garcia, and Lonne Joe Guerra; his brother-in-law, Lupe Rodriguez.; 22 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Terry Terrazas, Noah Terrazas, Matthew Avila, Matthew Avila, Jr., Jacob Guerra, Joe Guerra III, Jim Garcia, and Gabino Bravo. 

Burial Rites will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
