Obituary of Guadalupe Vasquez Gomez

Our beloved Guadalupe V. Gomez, age 82, resident of Ausitn, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Gomez Espinosa; her son, Julio Gomez; her parents, Miguel Vazquez Castillo and Candelaria Riojas de Vazquez; her siblings, Raul Vazquez and Maria Louisa Gutierrez; her brothers-in-law, Sam Jones, Juan Villa, and Armando Gutierrez.

Guadalupe is survived by her children, Guadalupe Marroquin (Rodolfo), Jesus Gomez (Irma), Nora Herrera (Emilio), Maria Celia Gonzalez, Maria Gomez, Brenda Gomez (Mario), Diana Ibarra, and Eduardo Gomez; her siblings, Dora Diagomez, Virginia Jones, Mario Vazquez, and Stella Torres (Jesse);  25 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Peter Apostle Catholic Church, 4600 E. Ben White Blvd., Austin, Texas 78741

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
