Our Beloved Maud Esther Golden Nicely, age 86, resident of Austin, entered into rest on Sunday, October 1, 2023. She is reunited with her daughter, Nancy Nicely; her parents, Hudie and Pearl Golden; and her siblings, Josie Grandille, Jarline Hillyer, Mary Hamilton, Willy Golden, and Hudie Golden, Jr. 

Maud is survived by her loving daughters, Myrna Nicely - Fulcher, and her spouse, Larry, and Maori Pearl Nicely; her son-in-law, Michael Williams; her grandchildren, Dominique Fulcher, Tiffany Nicely-Williams, Brandon Nicely-Williams, Jessica Nicely-Williams, Ashely Nicely-Newberry; one great-grandchild; her long time companion, Cal Mayberry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends. 

The Wake will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2023, with a Home-Going Celebration beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

Maud will be laid to rest following the conclusion of her Home-Going Celebration at Evergreen Cemetery.
