Obituary of Ramona Ybarra Ramirez

Our beloved Ramona Ybarra Ramirez, born January 17, 1929, in Buda, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Friday, September 29, 2023, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was a beautiful person, full of wisdom and grace. She loved gardening, shopping, sewing, volunteering at church, cooking and spending time with loved ones and friends. Her joy and laughter will forever be missed. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roman Ramirez, who passed away in October 1997; her parents, Alberto Ybarra and Concepcion Zamora Ybarra; her three brothers and three sisters.

Ramona is survived by her seven children, Janie Davis, Joe Ramirez, Louis Ramirez (Angie), Augustin Ramirez, Teresa Marie Robinson (Edward), George Ramirez (Liz Cortez), and Elizabeth Ann Garza (Jason); her 10 grandchildren: Louis Ramirez, Jr., Daniel Ramirez, Stephanie Louise Ramirez, Jonathan Lee Davis, Jennifer Marie Davis, Edward Rene Robinson, Andrew Roman Robinson, George Ryan Ramirez, Eliana Kaitlyn Garza, and Jason Maximo Garza; her 3 great grandchildren: Kali Valdez, Alex Ramirez and Aidan Ramirez; her great-great-granddaughters: Lailah Valdez, Kinley Valdez and Reese Valdez; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S. 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday morning, October 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church, 126 W Oltorf St., Austin, Texas 78704.

Interment to follow at Live Oak Cemetery, 10739-10799 Twin Creek Rd. Manchaca, Texas, 78652.
