Obituary of Maria Rodriguez

Our beloved Maria Rodriguez, age 81, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 7, 2023.  She was greeted in Heaven by her parents, Lucas and Refugia Rodriguez and her brothers, Guadalupe Cisneros, Fidel Cisneros, Augustin Rodriguez, and her twin, Joe Rodriguez.

Maria is survived by her brothers and sisters, Julian Cisneros, Simona "Mona" Olivo, Janie De La Rosa and her husband, Alexander, Tereso "Terry" Rodriguez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Maria was born July 22, 1942 and although she faced many physical challenges throughout her life, she was filled with joy and love, shining bright to all who knew her.  As attested by her age, she was loved and dedication to her care may have began with her mother and father, dedication to Maria was extended through her brothers and sisters and eventually the caring staff at Gracy Woods II.

Visitation will be held from 8:00-10:00 a.m. with a Scripture Service beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
