Obituary of Frances Marie Moreno

Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved Frances Marie Moreno, age 77, resident of Kyle, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances Diaz Reyes and Henry L. Reyes; her siblings, Mary Jane Ruiz, Henry D. Reyes, Margaret Ramirez and husband Max, Guadalupe De La Rosa, Manuel D. Reyes, Richard D. Reyes, and Edward D. Reyes, nephews Chris and Robert Reyes, and niece Ruby Howard.

Marie had beautiful life, filled with faith, love and laughter. She was strong, independent, and very spirited with a dash of spit and fire; a true friend loyal to the end, a dutiful daughter and sister, crazy aunt and cousin; and a loving wife to Ben for 42 beautiful years. She was the very best mom to Becky and Gabe. Her true joys were her two incredible grandkids, Gabe and Savannah , whom she loved dearly and was so proud of; and knew her great granddaughters were beautiful blessings from God.

She had lifelong friends from childhood, to her time at the Veterans Administration, which she often thought of fondly. She made many friends through her community and church, as she was a very faithful person, a true prayer warrior. Marie would often get calls, emails and text messages asking for prayers. She would happily comply as she felt honored and compelled to do so. She was devout in her faith, lighting candles of Padre Pio or St. Jude, and more often lately sending a prayer up to St. Anthony asking for help when she lost her wallet or keys.

Marie had a great sense of humor. Some of her best memories were of her and her sisters, Mary Jane and Desi and all their laughs and crazy antics they'd get up to. She had that Reyes' spunk and attitude and was not afraid to speak her mind. She was a country girl at heart and enjoyed sitting outside with her husband, Ben, listening and watching the birds, and small rabbits that would often appear in the yard. She will be missed dearly.

Marie is survived by her husband of 42 years, Benjamin S. Moreno; her children,  Rebecca Lynn Perez and Gabriel Perez Jr.;  her grandchildren, Gabriel Perez III and wife, Veronica B. Perez (Villegas), and Savannah Hydia Perez; her great grandchildren, Natalia and Nora Perez; her siblings, Desi Castillo (Angel), and Monico D. Reyes (Carlotta); numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, many cousins and other loving family and friends.
