Obituary of Augustin E Soriano
Our beloved Augustin E Soriano, (77), affectionately known as Augie, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2023, in his home in Kyle, Texas. After a year and two months, our father lost his battle with cancer and was welcomed into the holy gates of Heaven on the same date his beloved wife was called home, 7 years ago.
Augustin was born on May 28, 1946, in Austin, Texas, to Joe Soriano and Conception Escobar. Augustin was a loving husband to Lupe Soriano and an amazing father to his children.
In Augie's early years, he used to love to hang out with his brothers working on cars, fishing, and enjoyed dancing. He also loved spending his time at the lake with his family, he loved to cliff dive, he was definitely a daredevil. He was great with his hands and could build anything he put his mind to, he was a great carpenter, but even better than that, everyone who knew him would remember him as an OG, & a Hustler.
Even though Augie fought his battle against cancer for over a year. Despite much of that time he was in so much pain, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he cracked jokes with his adult children, made silly faces, and even pulled some light-hearted pranks on a few of his family members. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.
Augustin is preceded in death by his father, Joe Soriano Sr., Mother, Concepcion (Concha) Flores, Wife, Lupe (Gil) Soriano, Sister, Amelia Flores, Brother Joe Soriano Jr. Son, Augustine (Jr.) Soriano, Daughters Maryann Castillo, & Dianna Atkins who have all passed away.
He is survived by his Brother Daniel Soriano, Sister Carolina Sanchez, Son, Alfred (Annette) Soriano, Daughters, Yvonne (John) Gonzales, Sonia (Roland) Segura, Angela (Tony) Ibarra, and Michelle (Tomas) Trevino all from Austin, Texas as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Augustin’s love for his family was evident, especially the love and bond he shared with his son Alfred Soriano. They shared countless memories and amazing moments that will be cherished forever. He taught his family the joy of living a life to the fullest because we only get one.
In remembering Augie, we celebrate a life well-lived. His spirit will be found in the love he shared, & the lives he touched. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. While our hearts are heavy with his loss. We will find comfort in his memories and the love he gave.
Augustin Soriano, your memory will forever be etched in our lives. We miss you; we love you and thank you for all the laughs you gave us. Rest easy, Augie.
