Obituary of Gloria A. Araiza

Our beloved Gloria Alvarez Araiza, age 64, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 15, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Cerna Carrillo; her sister, Mary Frances Rodriguez, and her brothers, Moses Ramirez and Alejandro Ramirez, Jr.

Gloria is survived by her fiance, Cruz Santa Ana; her children, Michael Araiza (Sherrie Hanson), Cruz Santa Ana IV, and Stephanee M. De La Rosa (John); her grandchildren, Jazlyn R. De La Rosa, Ivan Garza, Mateo De La Rosa; her siblings, Carlos Carrillo; Benjamin Carrillo, Abel Carrillo; Francisca Carrillo; Pauline Longoria; Frances R. Pearson, Jacqueline Ramirez, Simon Ramirez, and Frank Ramirez, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
