Obituary of Herlinda Tanguma

Our beloved Herlinda Tanguma, age 90, was called to our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Arthur Tanguma, Sr.; her son, Arthur Tanguma, Jr.; her parents, Castulo and Silbestra Ramos; her brother, Pete Ramos and his wife, Mary; her son-in-law, Nick, Cardenas, Jr.; her brother-in-law, Frank Mancha, and her nephew, Peter Ramos.

Herlinda is survived by her children, Dolores Tanguma Cardenas, Maria Estella Tanguma and her husband, Albert, Ester Zavala and her husband, Roland, Debra Miranda and her husband, Michael, and Xavier Tanguma and his wife, Deanna; her sister, Frances Mancha; her treasured 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, her nephews and nieces, as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Tanguma III, Adam Tanguma, Nick Cardenas III, Daniel Machado II, Noah Zavala, Bryce Tanguma, Zachary Tanguma, and Kaleb Machado.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Machado, Logan Banda, Jaxon Tanguma, Christina Castillo, and Analyse Miranda.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
