Obituary of Consuelo "Connie" Macias

Our beloved Consuelo "Connie" Macias, age 93, of Austin, Texas was called home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Barba and Maria Rodriguez Barba; her beloved husband of 72 years, John Macias; her siblings, Ignacio R. Barba, Cruz R. Barba, Edward R. Barba, David Barba, Marcos R. Barba, Marcelo R. Barba, Joe Barba, Aurelia Barba, and Teancito Barba.

Connie is survived by her children, Gloria and her husband Fred Fuentes, Sylvia Macias, Theresa and her husband Dale Craymer, Cynthia and her husband Nicholas Green, Anna Macias and her husband Vance Cone; her 6 beloved grandchildren: Frederick Fuentes and wife Amy Hansen, Marisa Fuentes and husband Jon Tapia, Damian Green and wife Diandra Green, Kyle Craymer, Jason Craymer and Mary Lillian Craymer; and 3 great grandchildren: Jonathan Tapia, Jackson Tapia, and Jacob Tapia; numerous nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Vance Cone, Nicholas Green, Damian Green, Mary Lillian Craymer, Jon Tapia and Jack Zapata. Serving as Honorary pallbearer is great grandson, Jonathan Tapia. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.

A Service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas 78745.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
