Obituary of Anita F. Balderas

Our beloved Anita F. Balderas, age 81, lifelong resident of Austin, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 16, 2023. Anita is preceded in death by her sons, Juanito Balderas, Jr., Felis Balderas; her parents, Gregorio Fernandez and Felicitas Salazar Almaraz; her step-father, Manuel Almaraz; her sisters, Dolores S. Fernandez, Eva Martinez; and the father of her children, Juanito Balderas, Sr.

Anita is survived by her children, Dolores Balderas Ruiz, and her spouse, Simon, Anita Balderas Salazar, Gregorio F. Balderas, Robert Lee Balderas, Mary Victoria Balderas Cohen, and her spouse, Samuel, Christopher Balderas, and his spouse, Vivian, Pedro Ignacio Balderas; her precious grandchildren, Amy, Elizar, Amanda, Teresa, Isaiah, Patricia, Elizabeth, Juanito III, Teresa, Ashley, Rick, Socorro, Ben, Wendy, Dolores, Crystal, Lauren, Richard, Naomi, Felis, Jr., Nick, Sara, Elise, Noah, Noel, Priscilla, Lily, Fabian, Sergio, Gracie; Rudy, Chelsea, and Randy Estrada, Christopher, Jr., Matthew, Stephanie, Victoria, Ariel, and Joshua Balderas, Pedro, Jr. and Breanna Balderas, 60 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Oralia Martinez; her brother Johnny Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Eulogies beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

The Funeral Service will take place the following morning, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., also at Mission Funeral Home - East Side. 

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
