Obituary of "Johnny Box" Ruiz

Our beloved Johnny Box Ruiz, age 86, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 9, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Estrada Ruiz and his parents, Macedonio Ruiz and Concepcion Carmona.

John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sue Ruiz; his children, John Anthony Ruiz (Edna), Chantell Ruiz (Lisa Slauenwhite), and Nichole Surratt (Deryl); his treasured grandchildren, Jessica Ann Rositas (James), John Anthony Ruiz, Jr., James Rico Ruiz, Peighton Surratt, Joseph Surratt, and Elijah Surratt; his great granchildren, Roman Rositas and Dominic Rositas, and numerous other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  This will conclude the public services for Johnny Box.
