Obituary of Jose "Joe" Fernando Nuncio
Our Beloved Jose "Joe" Fernando Nuncio, 64 years of age, a resident of Lockhart, and a long-lived resident of East Austin, passed away on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023.
Joe was a devoted Husband to his Wife Dora Flores for 42 years. He was a family man, his pride and joy were His 5 Children. He was known as Chinaman, a nickname that was given to him when he was younger and stayed with him throughout his life.
He worked in the Air-Conditioning field his whole career. He was well known for being a Washington Redskins, Texas Longhorn, and Houston Astros sports fanatic. He made sure to keep the whole family up to date on sports. He also enjoyed fishing and Deer hunting.
Joe is survived by His Mother Moriama Nuncio, His Beloved Wife Dora, Children; Veronica Jaimes (Robert), Lisa Rodriguez (John), Darlene Nuncio, Joseph Nuncio, and Denise Seabrook (Antoine), Sister; Mary Lou Rivera (Nelson), Brothers; Jack and Henry Nuncio(Mary Jane), 7 Grandchildren, and many Nieces and Nephews.
Joe is preceded in death by His Father; Arnulfo Nuncio Madrigal, 2 Brothers; Arnold Nuncio and Sergio Nuncio, 2 Grandchildren; Sebastian Nuncio, and Sofia Nuncio.
Visitation Services will be held on Friday, March 24th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, Texas 78702.
Interment Committal Services will follow at Lockhart Municipal Cemetery, 600 N. Colorado St., Lockhart, Texas 78644.

Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask
and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more. If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,
it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
