Obituary of Teresa A. Maldonado

Our beloved Teresa A. Maldonado, age 79, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Monday, March 6, 2023. She is reunited with her parents, Augustín Alvarado and Rosario Mora; her aunt who raised her as her own, Saturnina Alvarado; and her brother, Augustín Alvarado, Jr.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Homero Maldonado; her daughters, Sonia Maldonado and Elizabeth Maldonado; her precious grandchildren, Audrey Carrizales, Roman Carrizales, Autumn Carrizales, Brandon Rivera, Jeremy Rivera; her siblings, Alfonso Alvarado, and his wife, Yvonne, Joe Alvarado, Mary Alice Segovia, and her husband, Hilario, Carmen Gacia, and her husband, Fred, Socorro "Cora" Alvarado, Anna Alvarado, Maria Alvarado; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. 

The Funeral Mass will take place the following morning, Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 East Ninth Street, Austin, Texas.

Services for Teresa will conclude at the close of Mass.
