Obituary of Nicolas C. Villegas

Our beloved Nicolas C. Villegas, age 89, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Faustino and Trinidad Villegas; his children, Jose Villegas and Ninfa Villegas; his son in law, Eduardo Zuniga and Pedro Arreola; his siblings, Celerina Hernandez and Manuela Villegas; his brother in law, Juan Hernandez and sister in law, Adela Villegas. 

Nicolas is survived by his loving wife, Consuelo Villegas; his children Solomon Villegas (Maria Eva), Guillermina Zuniga, Raquel Arreola, Ninfa Alcaraz (Canuto), Filimon Villegas (Cecilia), Jorge Villegas (Bertha), Consuelo Saucedo (Anselmo), Beatriz Villasenor, Jose Villegas (Maria Isabel Gutierrez); and Maria Elizabeth Arreola (Guillermo); 30 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; his siblings, Ramon Villegas (Guadalupe), and Mariano Villegas; numerous nieces and nephews and many other loving family and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, TX 78745.

Mass will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church, 10000 David Moore Dr., Austin, TX 78748.

Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.

Nuestro amado Nicolás C. Villegas, de 89 años, residente de Austin, Texas, fue llamado a casa de nuestro Padre Celestial el miércoles 15 de febrero de 2023.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Faustino y Trinidad Villegas; sus hijos, José Villegas y Ninfa Villegas; su yerno, Eduardo Zúñiga, y Pedro Arreola; sus hermanos, Celerina Hernandez y Manuela Villegas; su cuñado, Juan Hernández y su cuñada, Adela Villegas.

A Nicolás le sobreviven su amada esposa, Consuelo Villegas; sus hijos Salomón Villegas (María Eva), Guillermina Zúñiga, Raquel Arreola, Ninfa Alcaraz (Canuto), Filimon Villegas (Cecilia), Jorge Villegas (Bertha), Consuelo Saucedo (Anselmo), Beatriz Villaseñor, José Villegas (María Isabel Gutiérrez); y María Elizabeth Arreola (Guillermo); 30 nietos, 67 bisnietos y 3 tataranietos; sus hermanos Ramón Villegas (Guadalupe) y Mariano Villegas; numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos y muchos otros familiares y amigos amorosos.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 22 de febrero de 2023, de 5:00 p.m. a las 9:00 p. m., con la Recitacion del Santo Rosario a las 7:00 p. m., en Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, TX 78745.

La misa se llevará a cabo el jueves 23 de febrero de 2023 a las 10:00 a. m. en St. Paul Catholic Church, 10000 David Moore Dr., Austin, TX 78748.

Entierro seguira en Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.
