Obituary of Joe Arthur Castellon

Our beloved Joe Arthur Castellon, age 61, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 19 years, Marissa Yvonne Castellon; his parents, Espiridion and Margaret Castellon; his sister, Amy Lou Castellon Ojeda, and his brother-in-law, Peter Martinez.

Joe is survived by his children, Jon Garza, Morgan Castellon, Kayla Castellon, and Travis Castellon; his treasured granddaughter, Laurette Garza; his siblings, Pam Martinez, Lisa Castellon, and Richard Castellon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Pena, Paul Martinez, Jaime Medina, Jr., Geronimo Rodriguez, Victor Medina, and Chris Avalos.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Castellon, Travis Castellon, Jon Garza, Lou Cantu, and Albert Flores.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
