Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of John?
A: One of the most honorable things that I will remember my Uncle John for is; knowing that he valued family and that he tried to facilitate and maintain connection both with my family of origin and also extended family. He did this even though there were many miles between us geographically. While he never spoke of his motivation, I believe that part of it, had to do with honoring the memory of his brother, my father Paul. alive.
I cried when I viewed the tribute when I saw the photo of my dad, Uncle Nato and Uncle John.
I miss those days and will miss him and the memories that I have of the house on Lyons Road and John's Body Shop and the numerous road trips to the Lone Star state.

Our condolences go out to the Carrizales family on the passing of their family patriach. John gave us the opportunity in 1997 to purchase his life long body shop business he started back in the early 60's in East Austin. We were a young couple with three little boys and he opened the door for us to establish ourselves in the industry and afer eight years and relocating to another city we operated our body shop business until 2022. John visited us on several occassions at our new location. Our relationship between our families was kept over the years. Our children have memories of helping John around his yard and his bbq cookouts we shared next to his home and the body shop. He was a stern man but under that demeanor he had a big heart for his family and friends. Prayers for the family on the days ahead. God Bless. Bobby and Amy Cervantez and the boys
