Obituary of Florinda D. Ruiz

Our beloved Florinda D. Ruiz, age 87, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Florinda was born February 21, 1935 in Creedmoor, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos M. Ruiz; her sons, Carlos Ruiz, Sr. and Richard Ruiz, Sr.; her parents, Gabriel Duran and Louisa Rivas Duran; her granddaughter, Stephanie, and eleven siblings.

Florinda is survived by her children, Mary Jane Ruiz and Robert Ruiz; her grandchildren, Angelica, Charles, Sarah, Michelle Rose, Michael, Annie, Michelle Rennae, Jessica, Richard, Jr., Alexxa, Adrian, Ricky, and John Paul; 14 great grandchildren; her siblings, John Duran and Mary Llamas, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Robert Ruiz, Richard Ruiz Jr, John Anthony Ruiz, Andrew Michael Martinez , Charles “Chuck” Ruiz, and
Michael Tino Ruiz.  Honorary Pallbearer will be John Paul Ruiz.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
