Obituary of Rufus Castillo, Jr.

Our beloved Rufus "Boy" Castillo, Jr., age 49, resident of AUstin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Monday, December 26, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Castillo, Sr. and Janie Ruiz Castillo, and his sister, Maryann Dimas. 

Rufus is survived by his sons, Edward Castillo and Raymond Castillo; his sister Anita Longoria and husband, Stephen, Sr.; his brother in law, Alex; his nephew, Stephen Longoria, Jr., his nieces, Deborah Fauset and husband Charles, Mary Dimas, and Frances Dimas and husband Cesar; and last but not least, his two specials canine companions, Louie and Maverick. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas, 78745.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas, 78745.

Burial to follow at Garfield Community Cemetery.
