Obituary of Maria Isabel Maldonado

On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, Maria Isabel Hernandez Maldonado passed away at the age of 67. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Maria Isabel was born November 19, 1955. Her loving parents were Charles and Aurora Hernandez. She was raised and attended school in the Austin area. Maria Isabel met the love of her life, Raymond Maldonado, at Anderson drug store in 1971. Raymond and Maria Isabel were married on August 28, 1975. They had two children. A daughter, Marissa Maldonado and a son, Ramon Maldonado.

Maria Isabel was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her sister, Gloria Hernandez Forzani and her brother, Charles Hernandez Jr.

Maria Isabel is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Raymond Maldonado; her daughter, Marissa Maldonado of Austin; her son, Ramon Maldonado (Emily) of Austin, and her grandchildren, Lynzette Maldonado, Gabriel Maldonado, and several fur grandbabies, especially Louis, as well as nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Honored Pallbearers will be Joe B Maldonado Jr, Andrew B Maldonado, Edward Maldonado, Salvador Pineda, David Rodriguez and Jose Guerrero.

The family would like to thank the wound care team at St Davids South Austin hospital. They were  phenomenal with Maria Isabel and the family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesay, December 14, 2022 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.
