Hello Flores family,
My condolence on your father's passing. I cannot begin to express my sorrow for his absence and this inevitable journey that regrettably awaits each and every one of us. I am nonetheless humble, grateful for the fond memories of your dad and family alike. In fact, I recall several decades back one of many fond memories that was comprised of your family, the Colungas' and our family. It was around the time of Easter Sunday when we gathered at someone's ranch where most of the boys found themselves glued to the radio listening to the Cowboys play the Los Angeles Rams, and anxiously awaiting to hear the commentator say "Touch Down!" Well, they made a couple, but they ended up loosing anyway when Jack Snow made the winning touchdown for the Rams. I believe this was in '65 a time of innocence and curiosity. So curious that I dared embark on a journey in the wilderness where somehow I found myself in the river being carried away by the current and suddenly stranded across the other side of the Colorado River like a helpless lost lamb, as many of us now sadly find ourselves.
Thankfully, I was rescued when Prima Josie and others managed to throw a line to me, and thereby rescuing me to safety. This was a time that reminds me of your dad in that he was genuinely concerned for all involed. Yes, I remember this as if it were yesterday.
Again, I'm so sorry for you loss, but if it's any consolation I am hopeful that God hears our prayers that will help guide your dad back into the arms of his TRUE LOVE that awaits him in paradise.
