Obituary of Mary R. Chapa

Our Beloved Mary R. Chapa, age 88 of Austin, was called by Our Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 19th, 2022. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Manuel Chapa Sr and her son Ricardo Chapa, and several siblings.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Carmen Prince Chapa, Manuel Chapa and (wife) Ann Chapa, William Derrick and (wife) Michele Derrick, Aaron Chapa and (wife) Lisa Chapa and (daughter-in-law) Patricia Arispe. Twelve grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Three sisters and two brothers. Mary was a single mom who sacrificed tremendously to raise her five children.

Visitation Service will be held on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, Texas 78702, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 1st, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St., Austin, Texas 78702.

Interment Committal Services will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin Texas 78704.
