Obituary of Viviano "Jim" Zuniga, Jr.

Our beloved Viviano "Jim" Zuniga, Jr. age 79, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 24, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Viviano, Sr. and Marcelina Zuniga, and his brothers, David Zuniga, Ruben Zuniga, and Daniel Zuniga.  Jim proudly serviced our country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lupe Zuniga; his children, Abran Zuniga (Barbara), Priscilla Zuniga (Arnold), Lisa Cantu (Adolfo), Oscar Zuniga (Brenda), James Zuniga, Nicole Torres-Cooke (Kim), and Susie Torres-Zander (Barry), two grandchildren, two bonus grandchildren, four great grandchildren; his siblings, Tina Coronado, Lupe Zuniga, Martha Cerda (JJ), Juanita Perez (Freddie), Rita Aguilar (Enrique), Joseph Zuniga, Juan Zuniga (Maria), Ester Gutierrez, Joseph Zuniga and Andrew Zuniga (Gloria), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow with Military Honors at San Isidro Cemetery, Fentress, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
