Obituary of Sebastiana T. Garcia

Our Beloved Sebastiana T. Garcia, age 88 of Austin, was called into Eternal Rest on Sunday, August 14th, 2022. Mrs. Garcia is preceded in death by her Husband; Jacinto Garcia, her Parents; Alfonso and Demetria Torres, her Daughter; Josie Escobar, and 4 Brothers; Robert Torres, Asencio Torres, Lupe Torres, and Santiago Torres, 1 Sister; Theresa Torres. 

Sebastiana is survived by her Loving Children; Manuel Garcia and Wife Lucia, Janie Tucker and Husband Neal, Virginia Lockard and Husband Ken, and Michael Paige Garcia and one Brother; Stanley Torres, 13 Grandchildren, and 25 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation Services will be held on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of The Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, Texas 78702.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 26th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Rd., Austin, Texas 78757. 

Serving as Pallbearers will be; John Pete Gonzales,  Jonathan Garcia, Joseph Garcia, Manuel Gonzales, Barney Torres, Michael Samarripa, Logan Cortez, and Fabian Cortez. 

Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin, Texas 78704.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
