Obituary of Lillie Ybarra
Our Beloved Lillie Reyes Ybarra, age 91 of Austin, Texas, passed away peacefully into Eternal Life on Sunday August 14th, 2022.
Lillie was born in Cedar Creek, Texas on June 19, 1931. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 35 years Jesse C Ybarra, Parents; Macario and Belen (Flores) Reyes; Sister Modesta Reyes Ybarra; and Brother Macario Reyes, Jr.
Lillie is survived by her Brother, Rudy Reyes, Son Larry Ybarra, and wife Jeanette, Son Jerry Ybarra and Wife Adeli, Son Chuck Ybarra and Wife Rosemary; and Daughter Norma Ybarra and Husband Rick Canales. 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
Lillie was a spiritual woman and her greatest gift was sharing her love for the Lord with her family and friends. She was a long-time member of Dolores Catholic Church. She sang in the choir, attended prayer meetings, and enjoyed reading and scouting garage and yard sales buying things she didn’t really need; but it was such a good price. There were also her Sunday dinners of either pot roast, arroz con pollo or Carne guisada; where no matter who showed up to eat, there was always plenty for everyone. And we can’t forget mom's sweet tooth, enjoying things like empanadas, oatmeal pecan cookies and even molasses with pecans and a tortilla.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Ybarra, Belen Ybarra, Simon Ybarra, Armando Ybarra, Fernando Moran; and Tom Torres.
Honorary pallbearers: Gabriela Ybarra, Jesse Ybarra Jeremy Ybarra, Jason Ybarra, Jr., Leo Ybarra; and Victor Ybarra
