Obituary of Ramon B. Zuniga

Our Beloved Ramon B. "Raymond" Zuniga, 78 years of age, was called by Our Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 10th, 2022. Mr. Zuniga was a Veteran, that served in the U.S. Army and served His Country Faithfully and with Honor. 

He is preceded in death by Parents; Agustin and Isabel (Bosque) Zuniga, 2 Sisters; Dorothy Hernandez and Juanita Medina, Brother; Jesse Bosque, and a Nephew; Jesse “Sonny” Davila, Jr. 

Ramon is survived by Siblings; Twin Sister; Ramona Z. Herrera, Lorenza B. Zuniga, Augustina Z. Pardo (Daniel), 3 Brothers; Mauricio R. Zuniga (Linda), Donato B. Zuniga (Carolina), and Ben B. Zuniga (Debbie), and a Host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Thank you to the staff at Dell Ascension Medical Center and hospice care of Austin for the care they provided during his last days.

Visitation Services will be held on Monday, July 18th, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at the Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin Texas 78702. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., with Friar Florencio Rodriguez officiating, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St., Austin Texas. 

Interment will follow at Guadalupe Mendoza Cemetery, South Hwy. 183, Mendoza Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
