Obituary of Olga Rivas

Our beloved Olga Rivas, age 68, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, July 4, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Rivas Jr. and Cresencia Angeles; and by her brother, Ernest Rivas.

Olga is survived by her loving children, Adam Zapata and his wife, Sally, and Elizabeth Pichardo and her husband, Joe; grandchildren, Adam Zapata Jr., Ian Pichardo, and his wife, Laryssa, Jeremy Pichardo, and Ethan Pichardo; great-granddaughter, Sophia Pichardo; siblings, Maria Rivas-Boon, Nelda Rivas, Marisela Cervantes, Nora Rivas, and Osvaldo Rivas; and also by numerous other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Sta. Julia Church, 3010 Lyons Rd, Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
