Obituary of Ofelia Muñoz Martinez

Our beloved Ofelia Muñoz Martinez, age 78, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, July 1, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alberto Davila Martinez and her parents, Enrique Muñoz and Catarina Farias.

Ofelia is survived by her children, Diana Martinez-Ruedas (Steven), Lisa Martinez (Margo Cuellar), and Edward Martinez (Christina); her grandchildren, Nicole Gabriella Sanchez, Mia Alyssa Garcia, Jonathan Albert Ruedas, Christopher Edward Ruedas, Edward Martinez, Jr., Hector, and Alexus; her great grandchild, Christopher Ryan Ruedas; her sisters, Elva Aguirre and Aurora Muñoz, and several nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
