Obituary of Mary Esther Felan-Hernandez

Our beloved Mary Esther Felan-Hernandez, age 57, resident of Austin, Texas, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. She was greeted in heaven by her mother, Lucia "Lucy" Rosales Felan.

Mary Esther is survived by her loving husband, Robert Hernandez; her step daughter Savannah Carpenter; her siblings, Carolina "Carol" Felan, Thomas Lawrence Felan, Estella Felan; nieces and nephews, Alexandria Felan, Aiden Felan, Estrella Flores, and Angelo Casillas and may other loving family members and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home-South Side, 6204 S 1st St. Austin, Texas 78745.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Julia Catholic Church, 3010 Lyons Rd. Austin, Texas 78702. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to
