Obituary of Jesse Barron Castro

Our beloved Jesse Barron Castro, age 62, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 14, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Raul Castro and Mary Gonzales and his sister, Sylvia Vital.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 42 years, Margarita Castro; his children, Rosie Castro (Johnny Ortiz), Jesse Castro (Lizette Rodriguez), and Veronica Castro (Joe Martinez); his grandchildren, Dominic Jay Ortiz, Joseph Ortiz, Saul Guadalupe Rodriguez, and Cayden Ashton Castro; his siblings, Alfred Castro, Roy Castro, Otto Castro, Joe Castro, and Liz Bocanegra, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers are Roy Castro, Alfred Castro, Ray Castro, Dominic Jay Ortiz, Joseph Ortiz, and Jesse Castro, Jr.

Honorary Pallbearers are Cayden Ashton Castro and Saul Rodriguez.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Sta. Julia Catholic Church, Tilly and Lyons Rd., Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to
