Obituary of Fabian Rocha

Fabian Rocha, age 41, died Monday, May 9, 2022.
Fabi is survived by his children Maricella Danielle Hernandez (Tristyn), Angelica Marie Rocha, Fabian Rocha Jr. and Carlo Ramon Rocha as well as his father Ramon Rocha (Leonor), brother Richard Rocha (Shari) and nephew Richard Rocha Jr. He was preceded in death by his “Grams” Jenny Calzaretta, mother Anna Marie Rocha, and brother Ramon Rocha Jr. There are countless family and friends that remain to mourn his passing and sharing in his memory.
Fabian, Fabi, Cuz, Big Bird, Pachuquillo were just a few of the names we all knew him by, but the name he was most proud of was Dad. He was a devoted father to his four children and everything he did was for them. In his children's eyes he was nothing short of a hero. He wore the shoes of both mom and dad. He surrounded himself and the kids with family and friends that he entrusted in sharing his journey as a single dad.
He started a career as a truck driver at the age of 16 and later achieved one of his goals of owning his own truck and trailer. His biggest career accomplishment, however, was starting his own trucking business in 2017, Rocha and Sons Transport LLC. He was so proud of these accomplishments. The pride showed in his grin as he spent time working on his truck and teaching his sons about regular maintenance and having each of them sitting in the passenger seat next to him. Combining work life with family life, he would arrange long hauls across the country loading his kids in the 18-wheeler. Together they would set out on family vacations with final destination such as beaches and Disney Land.
Fabian never turned down an opportunity to celebrate life with his family and friends. Sampling tequila and beer, blasting music, throwing up the bunny, repeatedly calling his family and friends that had gone to bed at normal bedtime hours, and annoying his neighbors with his choice of extra loud music. We all wish we had more time with him, but we will always value the time we did have. The memory of the way a room lit up when he walked in will be greatly missed.
We will celebrate Fabian’s life at Mission Funeral Home Serenity on Sunday, May 15 with Visitation from 4-9 pm and a Rosary at 6 pm. Followed by Service at 12 noon (chapel opens at at 9am) and Burial at 1 pm on Monday, May 16 at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the family and friends for their love in support.
