Obituary of Julio Cesar Escalera Torres

Our beloved Julio Cesar Escalera Torres, age 66, was called to our Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 21, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Escalera, his mother, Josefa Escalera, and his siblings, Isidro Escalera, Gabriel Escalera, Juan Escalera, and Oscar Escalera

Julio is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sandra Escalera; his children Cesar Jesus Escalera Perez (Margaret Scarborough-Escalera), Cynthia Melina Escalera (Eduardo Avila); Julio Alexis Escalera, Daisy Angely Escalera, Brittney Jocelyn Escalera, and Rosa Isela Escalera; grandchildren, Neveah Michelle Sandoval, Johnathan Rey Sandoval. Justin Ajani Escalera, Elias Flores, Marcos Flores, Cinthia Rangel, Hugo Jose Rangel, and Daniel Rangel; his brother, Guadalupe Escalera (Elsa); his sister-in-laws, Olivia Escalera, Juanita Escalera, and Maria Escalera, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary and Scripture Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.  Burial will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park Cemetery.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
