Obituary of Bertha Valdez

Our Loving Mother, Bertha Valdez, age 47 of Austin passed away to be with Our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022. She is preceded in death by her Father; Pablo Cantu, and a Child Angel Valdez.

Berta is survived by her Husband; Eduardo Valdez Almanza, Daughters; Mariana Valdez, Maria Valdez, and Jasmine Valdez, Mother; Maria Carlin Martinez, Siblings; Paul Cantu, Becky Cantu, Beatrice Cantu, Bessie Cantu, and Brenda Cantu, Grand-daughter; Isabel Garcia, and a host of Nieces and Nephews. 

Visitation Services will be held on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home-East Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin Texas 78702.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 13th, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 E. 2nd St., Austin, Texas 78702.

Interment Committal Services will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH-35, Austin, Texas 78702.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services.
