Obituary of Reynaldo Silgero

Our beloved Reynaldo Silgero, Jr., born September 2, 1968 in Houston, Texas, was called to home on Thursday, March 31, 2022. 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Alma Torres, and nephew, Adrian Torres. 

Reynaldo is survived by his mother and father, Reynaldo Silgero, Sr. and Dora Silgero, who reside in Buda, Texas; his son, Rey Michael Acosta; his daughters, Amber and Ariana Silgero; his grandchildren Ezequiel Silgero-Aguilar and Jonah Silgero-Aguilar; his siblings, Ivan Gonzales, Celia Rodriguez, Hernando Silgero, Felicia Walker, Patricia Silgero, and various nieces and nephews.

Rey was anticipating the arrival of his newest granddaughters Millannii Jade Rey'lynn Silgero-Aguilar and Reyna Anastasia Acosta. Many will remember Rey for his loud laughter, his love for people, and his giving heart. His family will truly miss the amazing father and grandfather that he was. 

Pallbearers will be Hernando Silgero, Rey Michael Acosta, Lupe Torres, Giovanni Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, Juvenal Rodriguez, Jr., Gilbert Badillo, and Tommy Garcia. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st St., Austin, Texas 78745. 

Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S 1st St., Austin, Texas 78745. Interment to follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
