Obituary of Samuel Flores
Samuel C Flores, Sr. 68, former resident of Beaumont, Texas and currently resided in Bastrop, Texas earned his wings on March 8, 2022. He was greeted in heaven by his parents, Eloisa and Guadalupe Flores and his brother, Lupe Flores.
Sammy was married to Dolores M. Flores for 45 years and has four children, eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two more on the way this year. Sammy worked as a chemical process operator for Huntsman Petroleum for 32 years. Sammy served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1976, then Texas National Guard for 18 years. Sammy enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and just spending time with his family and friends. Sam actively participated in the Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant Scout Master while his twin sons were involved. He was also an active member in the Knights of Columbus especially during the fish fry during lent at Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop.
Sammy is survived by his wife Dolores M. Flores; his daughters, Ana Cox (Nepo) and Mona Sanchez (Elias); his sons, Sammy Flores, Jr. (Angie) and Sergio Flores (Mauricio); his grandchildren, Angel (Sierra), Yaya, Dae-Dae, Chencho, Ling-Ling (Ricky), Cheech (Roxanne), Icy, Ray, Aguas, Papi, and Tito; great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Esme, and Vinny; his brother, Patricio Flores (Glenda); his sister-in-law, Nancy Flores, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Honored Pallbearers will be Eric Flores, James Mendoza, Raymond Sanchez, Andrea Flores, Angel Torres, Ricky Rojas, John Anthony Mendoza, and Nadé Cox.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Dr., Austin, Texas. Public services for Mr. Flores will end following Mass. A reception will be held at Serenity Hall, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
