Obituary of John "Romo" Reynero
John “Romo” Reynero a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. John passed away on March 3, 2022, at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his son, John Anthony Reynero; his parents, Martina and Ascension Reynero and his brothers-in-law, Rudy Sanchez and Cruz Hernandez.
He was a master electrician who would always lend a helping hand with no hesitation. He was a softball legend and spent many years at the softball fields where he would coordinate tournaments and coached various teams. He served in the Marine Corps and courageously fought for his country in the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He enjoyed being with his family and taking them on many memorable vacations. He never knew a stranger and would always make you feel welcomed. Anyone who knew him, knew he had such a big heart. We will all miss him more than words can say.
Romo is survived by his loving wife, Louisa Reynero; his children, Sandra Reynero (Cesar Armendariz), Rose Reynero Castro (Rafael Castro), and Anna Reynero (James Lara); his grandchildren, Chelsea Armendariz, Marcos Reynero Castro, John Cesar Armendariz, Jesse James Armendariz, Lilyana Reynero Castro, Paulina Reynero Castro, Anaya Lara, and Jaxon Lara; his sister, Marie Sanchez; brother, Cruz Reynero (Susanna Carbarjal-Reynero), and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Honored Pallbearers will be JC Armendariz, Marcos Reynero Castro, John Marquez, Richard Hernandez, Tony Tristan Jr, Albert Contreras, Jesse Armendariz, and Edward Cervantez.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, 9110 US-183, Austin, Texas. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
