Obituary of David Melvin Pender
Our beloved David Melvin Pender, age 76, was called to our Heavenly Father on Monday, February 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon B. and Dora M. Pender and his brothers, Tom Lucas and Ralph Lucas.
David proudly service our country as a member of the United States Air Force and retired as a TSGT. Our nation is grateful for his service
David is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Pender; his children, Olga Gonzales, Julie Gonzales, Ricky Gonzales, Sr. (Debbie), Gloria Gonzales, Monica Zambrano (Cesar), and Michael Pender, Sr. (Laura); his grandchildren, Daniella Guerrero (Rene), Rochelle Earls (Chester), Jannelle Gonzales (Josh Cavillo), Alexis Gonzales (Jacob Villarreal), DeAnnica Gonzales, Ricky Gonzales, Jr. (Nadja), Brandon Gonzales, Austin Zambrano, Casey Zambrano, Michael Pender, Jr., Matthew Pender, Ava Flores, Joshua Pender, Julissa Pender, and Jacoby Pender; great grandchildren, Niko Guerrero, Mya Guerrero, Julian Zuniga, Bria Guerrero, Naya Guerrero, Gabriella Earls, Liam Gonzales,Elisa Guerrero, Reigna Guerrero and Sebashtian Earls; his siblings, Mary Hook (Burl), Bob Lucas (Sue), and Henry Blowney (Nena). In addition, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Honored Pallbearers will be Ricky Gonzales, Jr., Austin Zambrano, Matthew Pender, Niko Guerrero, Chester Earls, Rene Guerrero, Josh Calvillo, and Jacob Villarreal
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
A Scripture Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
