Obituary of Eduardo "Ed" Cantu
Our beloved Eduardo "Ed" Cantu was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Cantu; his parents, Hilario, Sr. and Minerva Cantu, and his siblings, Esperanza De Leon, Amelia Cantu, and David Cantu.
Ed proudly serviced our country as a member of the United States Air Force and retired as a TSGT. We as a grateful nation appreciate his dedication to our country and his service.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Susie Cantu; his children, Edward L. Cantu (Cynthia), Jerry L. Cantu, Sr. (Linda), and Rachel Cantu (Agustin); his grandchildren, Lydia (Michael), Brianna (Brandon), Ivan, Elizabeth (Mister), Josiah Cantu, Jerry, Jr., Jazlyn, Jayven, Jaylah, Selina, Gloria, Jesse, Joe Angel, Jaque, Alexandria, and Raymond; great grandchildren, Aiden, Melody, Liliana, Luis, Zyla, Colby, Axel, Brooklyn, Emmanuel, Jayden, Michael, Makayla, Meranda, Steven, Nickolas, Skyla, and Matthew; his siblings, Lucia Garcia, Lydia Rodriguez, Angelina Rodriguez, and Hilario Cantu, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.
A Scripture Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.
We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to
