Obituary of Olga D. Zavala

Our beloved Olga D. Zavala, age 62, was called to our Heavenly Father on Friday, January 28, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Olga Rodriguez Delgado.

Olga is survived by her husband of 45 years, Richard Zavala; her father, Pete Delgado; her children, Ruby Herrera (Richard) and Richard Zavala, Jr. (Amanda); grandchildren, Jonathan Herrera, Issac Herrera (Caitlin), Brandon Herrera, and Arianna Zavala; her brothers, Matthew Delgado (Patty), David Delgado (Gloria), and Nick Delgado; her sister, Esther Delgado, and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Issac Herrera, Jonathon Herrera, Jonathon San Roman, Joshua San Roman, David Delgado, Jr., and Alfonso Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Herrera and Brandon Herrera.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022 also at Mission Funeral Home - South Side.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
