Obituary of Maricela G. Rodriguez

Our beloved Maricela G. Rodriguez, age 74, was called to our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 29, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Clyde Rodriguez; her parents, Benito and Marie Gandara; her brother, Benito Gandara, Jr., and her sisters, Evangelina Gandara, Lily May Rios, and Irene Antonia Gandara.

Maricela is survived by her children, Elaine Sandoval, Annmarie Rodriguez, and Jennifer Rotella; her grandchildren, Alexandra Caballero (Jose Perez), Juliann Campos (Daniel), Ashley Sandoval (Ricky Hernandez), Evangelina Sandoval (Duran Souza), Andrew Paul Rodriguez, and Jaime Jesse Sanchez; 23 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; her sisters, Mary Helen Gandara, Minerva G. Lopez, Mary Jane Rivera, Georgia Puente, and Irene Khan, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. with Recitation of Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Mission Funeral Home - South Side, 6204 S. First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas.  Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas.

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

it is recommended that you not attend services.

during this very difficult time.
