Obituary of Raymond V. Alvarez

Our Beloved Raymond V. Alvarez, 77 of Austin, passed away on Monday, January 31st, 2022. Mr. Alvarez served in the Texas National Guard and served Honorably and Faithfully. 

Mr. Alvarez is preceded in death by the Mother of His Children; Janie G. Alvarez, Son; Raymond Alvarez, Jr., 2nd Wife; Wanda Alvarez, and His Parents; George C. and Manuela (Villasana) Alvarez.  

Survived by Children; Rosalinda Borrego, Ruth Marie Alvarez, Barbara Ann Alvarez, Gilbert Gonzales, and Jimmy Alvarez. Also survived by 2 Sisters; Martina Juarez and Maria Esparza, 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Visitation Services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 E. Cesar Chavez, Austin, Texas 78702.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022,  at 10:00 a.m. at Mission Funeral Home Chapel. 

Interment Committal Services to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

during this very difficult time.
