Obituary of Consuelo "Connie" Martinez

Our beloved Consuelo "Connie" Martinez, age 86, resident of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando Sanchez and Paula G. Sanchez; her brother, Froilan Sanchez; her sisters, Carmen Sanchez, Criselda Maldonado, Cristela Salas and Mary Hernandez.

Consuelo is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert Martinez, Sr.; her children, Cecilia "Ceci" Martinez, Celia Dominguez, and Robert Martinez, Jr.; her grandchildren, Lauren (Dominguez) Schott, Sarah Dominguez, Ryan Dominguez, Samantha Martinez, and Sydney (Martinez); her great grandchild, Eleanor (Mae) Schott; her siblings, Joe Sanchez, Fernando Sanchez, Susie Sanchez, and Yolanda Weber. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st St. Austin, Texas 78745.

Due to inclement weather, Mass of Christian Burial has been rescheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest, Austin, Texas.  Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. IH 35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Texas. The funeral home will open at 11:00 a.m. that morning prior to leaving for Mass at approximately 12:30 p.m.
