Obituary of Ronald Erwin Serrano
Our beloved Ronald (Ron) Serrano, age 55, resident of Austin, was called home by our Heavely Father on Sunday, January 23, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Deixter Serrano.
Ron will be remembered for his kindness, selflessness, strong devotion to family, which was evident in the loving way he took care of all the people in his life. He was known for his passion for cooking and made a variety of delicious meals. For over 20 years, he served his community working for the US Postal Service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lisa, and his son Matthew; his siblings, Glennys Trevino, Ydsia Slagle (Bill), Victor (Nirna), Larry (Robin), Ken (Leni), Jeff (Renee), Melissa Hernandez (Mark), and by his in-laws, Pete and Dora Ruedas; Yvonne Ruedas and Irene Silvas (Don).
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Serrano, Ken Serrano, Jeff Serrano, Jeremy Serrano, Don Silvas, and Noah Silvas.
Special thanks to Diandra Maldonado for all her loving support to the family. On behalf of his family, we would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and prayers.
DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER - SERVICES HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED AS FOLLOWS
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity, 6204 S 1st Street, Austin, Texas, 78745.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 4800 Convict Hill Rd., Austin, Texas, 78749. Interment to follow at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Cemetery, 6300 W. Williams Cannon Dr., Austin, Texas, 78749.
