Obituary of Adelia Moreno

Our beloved Adelia Moreno, age 75, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 23, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth V. Moreno; father, Robert A. Moreno; sister, Maria E. Botello; and by her brother-in-law, Gustav E. Blomquist.

Adelia is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joe Moreno; nieces she raised as her own, Cecilia Rodriguez and Diana Moreno; siblings, Benjamin M. Moreno (Evelia), Amelia M. Blomquist, Jimmy V. Moreno (Lupita), Gloria A. Ramirez (Aurelio), Dora A. Granja (Alfredo), Rachel Trelles Ramirez (Amador); as well as numerous other loving family members and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2022, with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 S First St., Austin, Texas.

Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at Dolores Catholic Church, 1111 Montopolis Dr., Austin, Texas 78741. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

help protect our community.   If you are ill or are concerned about the virus,

it is recommended that you not attend services. 

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
