Obituary of Miguel C. Sustaita

Our beloved Miguel "Mike" C. Sustaita, age 93, of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022. Mike is preceded in death by his Wife; Ramona Sustaita and a daughter, Martha S. Colmenero.

Mr. Sustaita was a Korean War Veteran serving his country proudly and honorably.

Mike is survived by his children, Maria Elena (Mando), Alicia, Mike (Mary), Manuel (Aide), Ramon, and Angie (Albert); 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers are Armando Selvera, Cucu Colmenero, Ruben Gauna, Jerome Sustaita, Armando Selvera, Jr., and Joseph Sustaita. 

Visitation Services will be held on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm, Mission Funeral Home Chapel, 1615 Cesar Chavez St.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 27th, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1206 E. Ninth St., Austin, Texas.

Interment Committal Services will follow at Assumption Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,

capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries.

We politely request the continued use of face coverings in an effort to

The family is so grateful to everyone for their understanding, love, and support

during this very difficult time.
